Like any piece of equipment, infrastructure can wear out over time and through frequent use.

Liberty’s Highway 69 Lift Station is one of the most important parts of our Woodmark sewer system, as it is the largest lift station in the collection system. At this site, key equipment that helps the pumps run safely and smoothly was damaged, and the concrete basin that holds wastewater before it is pumped out was also showing its age. These issues made the station less efficient and increased maintenance needs and costs.

To keep the lift station dependable and extend its useful life, the Liberty team planned a rehabilitation project. The project included installing three new pump guide rails and related hardware, startup testing to confirm the existing pumps operate correctly, and adding a protective epoxy lining to the concrete wet well to help prevent future damage and corrosion.

These upgrades reduce the potential of future breakdowns, thereby helping to avoid any emergency repairs that may be needed, and support reliable, uninterrupted wastewater collection service for our customers in the Woodmark area.
